How You Can Make a Real Difference for Wounded Troops

October 26 marks the day of the deployed; it is also the official start of ValourIT (Voice Activated Laptops for OUR Injured Troops) fundraiser. This is a fundraiser in the blogging community where all the proceeds go towards laptops for injured troops. I can’t stress how important this cause is. Brave members of our military are sacrificing each and every day for us, it is time we show them our support. This fundraiser provides voice activated laptops for those that are seriously injured; this provides them with an opportunity to stay connected and heal faster. When donating, just think of the personal impact you will be making for our service members and reminding them that yes, the American public does care. Donating is very easy, just click the ValourIT logo directly on the right hand side of this blog (says Air Force team)which will take you to a secure page where you can donate what you are comfortable with.

Soldiers’ Angels, the organization running this fundraiser has been able to provide over 2,700 laptops since 2008. The community of bloggers participating in this year’s fundraiser was working this entire weekend to assure that this year exceeds last year’s donations. I am very proud to be a part of this fundraiser and do hope you will think about what an impact your donation would mean to our nations service members.
