When it comes to connecting to the military community and getting a unique perspective, being a regular reader in the military blogosphere is a must. The military blogging awards, “Milbloggies” are a way to recognize the writers that write on such a wide variety of topics and views.

To take a look at this year’s nominees follow this link: http://milblogging.com/votestandings.php?mode=branch

These finalists are a small representation of the many blogs that are worth your time because of the perspective they provide. To vote for your favorites, you must first register with milblogging.com. This website will not sell your information or spam your mailbox. Instead, if you choose to opt in for the newsletter, you’ll get it once a week filled with very interesting content centered on the military.

Some of the writers go through great lengths and troubles to be able to express their point of view, while others provide stories that are uplifting, inspirational, or simply educational to those that are looking to learn more about the military and its community.

All the writers share a common passion for those serving our country and each has something important to bring to the overall discussion on military topics. Take a look at these blogs, you will not be disappointed. Once you’ve had a chance to check them out, please vote for your favorites! Top bloggers from each category will be recognized at this year’s Milblogging Conference taking place in Arlington, VA April 9-10.

    Hi Maja,

I am campaigning for “A Little Pink In A World Of Camo”.
This the blog of Rachel Porto. Rachel recently became a Gold Star wife. Cpl Jonathan Porto, USMC was KIA in Helmand Province, Afghanistan 3 weeks ago on March 14th. Rachel is coping by taking care of their infant daughter Ariana, blogging and supporting different military and Marine charities. I highly recommend you read her post about losing Jonathan.

I really want Rachel to win this award. The blog in second place “Army Wife Toddler Mom” is my dear friend Rachelle who is also campaigning for Rachel Porto.

Please consider voting for Rachel and endorsing her on your blog.

    Thanks!
    Maggie

      Maggie,

Thanks for the post, I have been keeping up with Rachel’s blog and did vote for her! I do hope that readers of this blog do the same as it is a very worthy nomination in the Military Spouse category and deserves the win.

      -Maja
