Social Media & Education

Image

Ever since I’ve had the privilege to guest lecture, I’ve started to recognize the real connection between social media and academia. Social media allows for a richer learning experience and soon enough teaching social media etiquette and platform use might just be part of everyday curriculum.

Tonight, Oct 2 at 9:00PM EST I will discuss social media and its impacts in the classroom with my friends from http://www.genearleadership.com on SiriusXM Ch. 125.  I am extremely proud to be part of this team of passionate leaders that are now bringing their expertise into America’s classrooms and giving back. General John Michel will be dialing in from Afghanistan to provide his perspectives, so if you are a Sirius XM subscriber, tune in!

There is a definite link between social media and education and very important to keep an eye on the developments.

There is a website called http://www.Obami.com that intertwines social media and education. It’s a social learning website that allows teachers, parents, and learners to connect, create, and share all in a safe and monitored environment.
